For custom lace wigs, you typically need 3 bundles of hair and a lace piece of your choice, either a closure or a frontal. The shorter the length, the fuller the bundles are. When wearing 26" and longer, you will need 4 bundles for a fuller appearance. For u-part wigs, you will need 2-3 bundles depending on your desired look. Our 100% virgin human hair is high quality and authentic and should be treated like human hair. With proper care and treatment, our virgin hair will last a minimum of 2 years. It is important to remember that bleaching hair requires chemicals that may cause damage if it is not done properly.

Your custom unit will last you a lifetime, that's the beauty of wearing wigs. Your unit may need maintenance such as a lace replacement if you experience balding on the lace. This is due to excessive brushing and combing of the lace. Our lace is delicate as it is constructed with single knots, so it is important to be mindful if you want your unit to last a long time. You are able to have your unit revamped if you would like to achieve a new look such as adding color or bangs. Straight and body wave units may also be restyled with heat tools.

Currently, Enchanted Crowns operates using a pre order system where the customer is able to purchase hair that will be delivered in approximately 1 week. If you booked a custom unit construction, the hair will then be made into a wig. Wigs "on hand" are our ready to wear units. These units are first come, first serve. Occasionally, hair and lace are on hand, and will be announced via email and social media.

Hair care: Using a paddle brush to brush the hair will prevent tangling. Brush daily from the ends to the root Washing the hair with shampoo and conditioner will remove product build-up and soften the hair. Rinse with cool water. Allow the hair to air dry. A light oil sheen will give the hair shine and a little bit goes a long way. Spraying too much oil will weigh the hair down. Straight and body wave hair can be styled with heat as desired. Deep curly hair care: A spray bottle with water and conditioner mixed may be used on the hair so it becomes more manageable. Use a spray-on detangler. Brush the wet hair thoroughly using a denman brush. Use your favorite curling cream or mousse to define and or moisturize the hair. Allow the hair to air dry. For a wet look, do not touch the hair after drying. For a big hair look, use your hands or wide tooth comb to style accordingly.

If you are wearing your unit without adhesive, you are able to remove it nightly. If you are wearing your unit with adhesive, you should use a satin scarf to tie down the lace before bed. Wear a bonnet over the hair. The next day, remove the scarf and the bonnet and style as needed. Showering: Tie a scarf around the lace and wear a bonnet over the hair. Use a shower cap to prevent water from touching your hair. Also, steamy, hot showers may cause the glue to loosen and lift the lace. Turning the temperature down may help preserve your wig install.

Sure. If you would like to BYOB, the hair MUST be in good condition including free of hair glue or threads, washed to remove any product build up and free of odor. The hair must be a single weft and not cut into pieces. You should also label the lengths of the hair. Lace MUST be new. No exceptions. New hair is always preferred. If you are local to the Raleigh/Durham, NC area, you are able to drop off your bundles for a custom unit.
